RHYTHMS
Our Rhythms
for life with God
We have been saved by God for life with Him forever. And we are not saved alone, but with others so that we enjoy life with God together.
Our life with God together as a church is lived out in these rhythms, and we encourage you to live in these rhythms in your personal life with God too.
You can listen to our sermon series on Rhythms at the link below!

Practices
Sundays - Every Sunday we gather to remember and rehearse the story of Jesus for us. We sing, pray, read, and eat the Lord’s Supper together.
Community Groups - Gather regularly in one another’s homes to simply know and be known.
Women’s and Men’s Ministries - We need friends, people in our lives who care enough to walk with us through ups and downs and point us to the truth.
Resources
Life Together by Dietrich Bonhoeffer
The Gospel by Ray Ortlund - Ortlund’s short book (117 pages) shows us how the church is a living picture of the gospel. Gospel Doctrine should create Gospel Culture.
Side By Side by Ed Welch - Welch is a counselor, but he wrote this book to help every Christian learn how to walk together through the ups and downs of life. His main theme is that we’re all both needy and needed.

Practices
Giving - Beginning to give regularly to your church family is the best place to begin. You can give monthly or each time you get paid. Prayerfully decide on an amount or a percentage. You can setup recurring giving online as well: Give Online
Hospitality - Regularly welcoming people in your home is a tangible way to be generous with your possessions, food, and time. This sort of generosity extends beyond money and shows tangible love to others.
-
Practices
Daily - Take time each day to stop working, stop producing, and enjoy your life. Embrace a rhythm of coming home from work, or stopping work, and praying something simple to God: “Lord, I know there’s more work to do, but I need to stop from my work just as you stopped from yours. Give me rest this evening.”
Bedtime - Create a routine for going to bed that reminds you of the intentional rest you’re about to get.
Pray Psalm 4:8 (ESV) — 8 In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.
Pray a prayer of Compline from the Book of Common Prayer:
Visit this place, O Lord, and drive far from it all snares of the enemy; let your holy angels dwell with us to preserve us in peace; and let your blessing be upon us always; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Lighten our darkness, we beseech you, O Lord; and by your great mercy defend us from all perils and dangers of this night; for the love of your only Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
Be present, O merciful God, and protect us through the hours of this night, so that we who are wearied by the changes and chances of this life may rest in your eternal changelessness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Look down, O Lord, from your heavenly throne, illumine this night with your celestial brightness, and from the children of light banish the deeds of darkness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Weekly - Take a full day off of work. Fast from being needed. You could take this day to pray and play. Enjoy fellowship with God and enjoy your life and loved ones.
Yearly - Take time off! If your job gives you vacation days then take them. If you have the means, go on a trip or vacation. But try to take some extended time, at least multiple days, where you are off work and are not actively earning money. Stop being productive. Don’t take your work with you either!
