Sunday Recap: 2/23/25

Hey Friends,

This morning we got to hear from our new Pastoral Apprentice, David Wright, on John 13:31-38. Jesus says its time to be glorified, but what does that mean?

And what does a crucified man 2,000 years ago mean for you and I today?

It turns out the whole thing hinges on love.

It's love that led him to the cross.

It's that love that flows through us to others.

It's that love that even leads us to die. We may or may not die for our faith like Peter,  but we're all called to live a crucified life of our own.

Here are some ways you can connect to our life together at Shallowford…

Giving

Paul reminds the Corinthians in 2 Corinthians 8 that the gospel is about Christ, who was rich, becoming poor for our sake. This gospel is a story of generosity, and one of the effects on us is that we too should be generous.

Has the gospel totally infected the way you view your money and possessions?
